Born in Brest, he began training as a violinist at the age of 7. Passionate about the music of JS Bach, Vivaldi, he will later discover that of the Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix and Franck Zappa. His parents then gave him a guitar. Ten years will have passed before he played bass in a Brest rock band. In 1983 he became one of the leaders of the Celtic group Gwendal with which he traveled through Europe and in particular Spain, a country where his popularity enabled him to ensure the artistic production of rock groups and traditional music. For many years, he composed no less than 300 credits and jingles for Radio France: France INTER, RFI, France MUSIQUE, France CULTURE and the locals of Radio France. From 1990, he continued to support artists from the French and international scene. During his travels around the world he discovers many instruments that he uses on stage and during recordings.
Alan STIVELL entrusts him with the direction of his ensemble from 1995 to 1998. Robert Le Gall is the arranger of the music of the show GEORGIAN LEGEND produced by Gérard LOUVIN and TF1, featuring more than one hundred performers, dancers, singers and musicians.
